Dr. Neiderer is therapeutically certified to treat and manage eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and macular degeneration as well as managing pre and postoperative surgical patients. She is trained in the treatment of visual disorders that require vision therapy. Prior to joining the Edmonds Eye Associates in 1996, Dr. Neiderer worked with HealthAmerica, a center based Health Maintenance Organization in the Pittsburgh area where she provided provided comprehensive eye care and management of eye disease. She also worked with West Penn Eye Associates at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh where she cared for post-op surgery patients. Now at Edmonds Eye Associates, Dr. Neiderer enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She is experienced providing comprehensive and medical eye exams as well as fitting both hard and soft lenses for people of all ages. Dr. Neiderer also participates in the management of patients with acute brain injury. Dr. Neiderer regularly attends numerous educational conferences to maintain the highest standards in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and eye disorders as well as the newest advances in technology and contact lenses. Dr. Neiderer has spent time mentoring high school and college school students who desire to pursue a career in the optometric field. She also provides services to the underprivileged in her community.
